Seasonal Savings

There are a variety of reasons why you would want update the stair railings and window guards installed in your home. Not only do they add to the value of a home, but it is very likely that your current stair railings’ safety have been compromised.

Homeowners well know the amount of wear and tear that stair railings take over the years. I remember when I had my pool fencing replaced I was talking to the contractor about the type of wood he recommended. Halfway through our conversation the railing on which I was leaning gave way under my hand. I was flabbergasted but he was not surprised. He said that it happens a lot because of huge amount of traffic that stairs receive especially when they are homes that have kids.

So to finish up the story, I had a lot of things done that day. The contractor talked to me about stair railings and after he completed installing some pool fencing I decided that I like it so much I wanted to have some view fencing installed as well.

Safe Homes, Inside and Out

There is no reason why you have to worry about your front or back door being a point of weakness in your home's security. Just because it is on hinges doesn't mean it will be any easier for thieves to break into if you have some strong security doors in place.

In addition to strong security doors, we also highly recommend stair railings and window guards when you want to keep your home safe on the inside and on the outside. Window guards are good to further enforce security outside your home. Stair railings are important if you live in a home that has more than one story. You may not think about it but kids and elderly can be very seriously hurt when going up and down stairs and a railing can really help keep them safe from all of the things that can happen when they are climbing those stairs.

Security Doors Keep Out Junk Mail

The other day I was speaking with my neighbor and he was complaining that there was nothing he could do about all the junk door hangers that people were hanging on his front door. The reason he was so upset was because his front door faces the street and when he comes home there will be a small pile of flyers, door hangers, and other junk mail items that people want him to read and then order their products. He gets really upset because he says it makes his nice house look cheap and cluttered.

I have never had this problem because I have a security door installed at the front of my property and the people can not get through to hang their junk mail on my front door. I told him how I was able to avoid it and he said that it would be silly to spend so much money just to avoid those hangers, but what he doesn't know is that I had my stair railings and my window guards install all at once so that they would help protect my home as well as make it look nice and clean without ugly exposed rusting bars. These are very professional quality and I highly recommend them to anyone.

Finding the Best Security Doors

There's nothing nicer than a fresh breeze making its way through your living room on a summer's evening. Or keeping your front door open with the peace of mind that your family is safe and secure while you roam around the house. Choosing the right security screen doors for your home requires a little more than flicking through a catalog. When your family's safety is a concern, you need to know the facts.

The first step is to do your homework and look for a company that prides itself in following high quality standards. This instantly means you are guaranteed that the grille, hinges, locks, corner joints, screws and rivets all meet the performance qualities that will ensure optimal security for your home. Having security doors that meet these standards will keep fresh air and natural sunlight in your home, and potential attackers out. After all, you want to make sure your door and window guards are protecting you from more than flies and bugs.

Here are a few simple things to consider when choosing the right security door for your home:

1. The Materials: A frame can be steel or aluminium. You then have a choice of steel (with simple bars or even something a little more snazzy with a fancy design), as well as an aluminium grille or simple a stainless steel mesh.

2. Look and Price: Spend some time thinking about what look you're after and whether you want it to have decorative purposes too. Then it's important to work out your budget - as you want to get the best value for dollars.

3. Get Professional Advice: The average homeowner is not meant to be a security expert. Ask questions and pick the brains of the sales consultants - they know their stuff. Get advice on locks, materials used for the rivets, the amount of hinges used, how deep the receiver channel is for the grille and whether the frame is reinforced. This will help you make the right choice for your home.

Increase Home Value with Security Doors

The Spring and Summer time is the most popular time of the year for the Real Estate market. Homeowners like to sell their home when it looks it best because half the sale happens from the curb. When someone drives up to your home there are a few items that they always notice. First they see your yard and next they see your front door. There's a lot of things you can do to get your grass at it's peak, but there's only one way to make a lasting impression while maintaining a secure entryway into your home.

While view fencing is a great way to keep your backyard private and away from the neighbors' eyes, it doesn't do much for actually keeping people out of your property. The best way to keep your home security at its peak and still increase your home value is through a strong security door.

If you live in a optimal climate area like California or some other mild weather state, then you might also want to consider a security screen door. These doors actually keep your home open but don't compromise the security of your home. With a security screen door you can have the open, breezy environment that you want to enjoy during the mild weather of the year, but you don't have to worry about unexpected guests.
